is a typical Veronese product that was created way back in 1891 by the Perbellini family itself, Giovan Battista Perbellini modified the recipe of the “Nadalin” cake making it fluffier and more delicate (butter and eggs were added to the dough) thus enjoying great success. This new recipe came to be called Offella, so much so that Pasticceria Perbellini is also known as Offelleria. Offella d’oro is a product that in the Verona area is not really available only at Christmas in fact it is produced until March.
