Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Y.O. – Arran

Arran 21 Year Old is a dream come true, produced by a relatively young distillery that has made its way into the taste buds of whisky drinkers around the world through high quality levels. Arran was founded on the Isle of Arran in 1992 and began distilling in 1995, slowly releasing various products, the first had short maturations but these lengthened as time went on. After releasing some twenty- and twenty-one-year-old whiskies in limited quantities, Arran decided to include this Arran 21 Year Old in its base range, making it one of the oldest whiskies available on the market that’s part of a standard range, that is, the basic bottling line that each distillery offers and maintains over time.
Nowadays, finding a whisky over 20 years old is increasingly difficult as market demand grows ever stronger, and many distilleries prefer to produce whiskies that are young and often with no age indication. For this Arran 21 Year Old, aging is exclusively carried out in casks that have contained Sherry, selected from the oldest in Arran’s warehouses.
