Grapes are harvested manually and after pressing, the juices from the various grape varieties are combined except for the Folle Blanche, which is distilled and aged separately. Distillation is carried out in traditional stills, known as Alambic Armagnacais, which are heated only by wood to obtain a spirit of 53°C.
The distillates are left to mature in oak barrels made exclusively from the wood of trees grown on the property. They remain in new-wood barrels for about 3 years. Aging is then extended for many years in barrels.
Nuanced tannins are the result of old oak wood, and the richness of ripe fruit.
