Single Malt ‘Our Barley’ Whisky – Lochlea

This third bottling of Lochlea to reach the market is an important step in the distillery’s history. Our Barley is the first bottling that will remain in the range permanently. It is John Campbell’s first true creation, and he has chosen to combine whisky matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry butts and STR barrels for the occasion. Bottled at 46 percent, with no artificial coloring or cold filtering, this is a whisky that will quickly become a favorite of any enthusiast.
On the nose, it has ripe fruit, apple, floral notes and dried fruit. The palate is really rich with creamy vanilla, toffee and a lingering citrus freshness, and notes of caramel and vanilla. Ripe summer fruit then dominate, followed by toasted cereals and elegant sweet spices.

Finish: Medium length, more fresh fruit, barley and pastry.
