Two Stacks Irish Whisky first cut – Great Northern Distillery

Great Northern Distillery produces Two Stacks Irish whiskies. Two Stacks is a whisky brand from the Mourne Mountains in Ireland. Shane McCarthy, Donal McLynn, and Liam Brogan, three friends created the brand. The partnership places special emphasis on quality and traditional techniques – casks are emptied by hand and each bottle is labeled by hand. Two Stacks’ THE FIRST CUT Irish Whisky is a blend of light and dark malt, single still, double still and peat malt. This whisky is matured in the finest ex-Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and virgin oak casks. This whisky is neither cold filtered nor colored. Tasting notes: Color: Bright amber. Nose: fruity, spicy, notes of peach skin, custard, toasted oak, buttered bread and cereal. Palate: fruity, charred oak notes, lemon peel, toffee, white pepper and oak resin. Finish: long-lasting caramel, soft, sweet, smoky and spice.
