Pinot Grigio vines at the Jermann Friulana winery stand on well-suited soils in the Collio Friulano area. These soils are rich in marl and sandstone from the Flyschioid Formation during the Eocene era, which give rise to a rocky substrate that transforms into the “Ponca” characteristic of the Collio wine-growing area. The wine is produced with pure Pinot Grigio grapes and the vineyard exposures are southwest and northeast. The bottle life for this wine is 3 to 4 years.
