The Radikon family has lived in Oslavia, always in the same house. After replanting the vineyards and rebuilding the buildings destroyed during World War I, Edoardo Radikon reconstituted the farm in 1948, devoting himself not only to farming but also to animal husbandry. In the early 1980s it was passed down to his son, Stanko, who focused on wine, also beginning to bottle for sale. Since 2016 the winery has been carried on by Saša, Suzana, Ivana, Savina and Luisa. Each wine tells the story of the Radikon family, their territory, the past vintage and the evolution of the winery, always striving for constant improvement.
As in the other wines, also in this white, blend of: Chardonnay and Friulano; No treatment is made, neither in vinification nor in bottling, which took place without any filtration or clarification, without the addition of preservatives. Another great example of how a long maceration on the skins can bring out the best of a variety in a magical combination of territory and producer.
Slatnik by Radikon is an intense and complex macerated white wine. Consistent, ample and salty, in the mouth it is voluminous, dry and taut, perfectly combining its rusticity with the elegance and finesse typical of Radicon wines.
