Corton AOC Grand Cru “Le Rognet et Corton” 2012 – Domaine Pierre Guillemot

Savigny les Beaune is the typical “vigneron” village of Burgundy. Just a few kilometers from Beaune (the region’s historic capital), it is known not only for its wines but also for its cuisine and hospitality. The village motto, which perfectly renders the spirit of the place is, ” Bottles on the table and heart in hand.” The wines produced here, are played on finesse and elegance. Easy to drink from early youth, they are capable of evolving for many, many years with notes of great refinement and personal style.
The Guillemot family, has been in the area for more than two centuries. Today, the helm of the winery is in the hands of Vincent, a passionate young winemaker who, with the 2006 vintage, has begun to define the winery’s style. About 25,000 bottles are produced each year. A small production to discover for those who particularly like subtle, elegant wines of great finesse, with the typical hint of pepper, which only Pinot Noir from Savigny can give.
