David Léclapart works about 3 hectares spread over no less than 22 plots, all in the commune of Trépail, Premier Cru of the Montagne de Reims. Eighty-seven percent of the Léclapart vineyards are planted with white grapes, while 40 ares are devoted to Pinot Noir. The exclusion of any synthetic chemical, the total and spontaneous grassing of the soil, and the use of biodynamic preparations, do not satiate this winemaker’s desire for naturalness.Fine perlage and a straw-yellow color, full and bright for this Champagne vinified only in enameled steel tanks.
The bouquet is floral, with hints of yellow and white-fleshed fruit. In the mouth, minerality and freshness stand out, with a long and balanced finish.
