This “cru” is made from Sangiovese and Merlot grown on Siepi’s 6 hectares – some of the estate’s best vineyard plots. Its full body and concentration make it a wine with a unique and original temperament.
This has always been a model estate, continuing to work with the same respect for the land. A unique location with a special microclimate along with the intuition in the early 1980s to plant Merlot, an ideal grape variety to accompany Sangiovese, in a particularly well-suited terroir have brought this wine to life with a perfect balance of elegance, power and complexity. Le Siepi 2020 continues the trend of enhancing the wine’s finesse and nuance. Creamy aromas of currant, lavender, spices, licorice and plum mingle perfectly in the glass.
