Islay Single Malt Whisky “Wee Beastie” 5 Y.O. – Ardbeg

Known as one of the most peaty whiskies, “Wee” is the Scottish word for a small thing. Ardbeg Wee Beastie literally means “untamed little beast” matured for only 5 years, making it the untamed enfant terrible of the whisky world. Incredibly smoky, but excellently balanced after sherry cask maturation. Bright gold in color, its nose is fresh and herbaceous, with hints of vanilla, pear and freshly ground black pepper, but also delicate herbaceous hints, such as vetiver and fennel, anise, green apple and leather. Tasting reveals a rich, intense and explosive flavor, with hints of chocolate, peat, smoked bacon, eucalyptus and anise.
