The Appleton Estate is the oldest sugar plantation and distillery in Jamaica. Its sugar fields cover 11,000 acres of the Nassau Valley, located in Saint Elizabeth Parish, and has been in operation since 1749. The distillery operates five double retort stills alongside an anchor column, and generally produces single rum blends by racking the two spirits. The 2003 Hearts Collection, distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2021, was produced in 5,000 bottles. To our knowledge, this is the oldest 100% Pot Still rum fully aged in a tropical climate ever bottled in history.
