Castillo Ygay was one of the first wines to be born in La Rioja when French winemakers, affected by phylloxera, used the vines of the area to stock up on grapes.
It is a muscular-looking reserve, with an elegant bouquet, a beautiful fruity intensity and an impeccable balance. An excellent wine, whichever way you look at it; a must-have for anyone who wants to try a Rioja with a classic style but adapted to modern times.
In addition, this 2010 vintage was chosen as the best Spanish wine by Wine Spectator.
It can be stored until 2040, provided it is in good condition. It is recommended to decant 20 minutes before serving.
