The Nervi winery was founded in 1905 with Luigi Nervi. Gattinara’s oldest winery based in the old family mansion is now led by Barolista Roberto Conterno, who took over 90 percent in 2018 and became Cantine Nervi Conterno. There are many renovations now underway in the company. The result of an assembly of grapes from the vineyards of Casacce and Garavoglie. The bunches are gently destemmed and crushed. The maceration lasts at least 20 days and takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature and truncated cone vats, as per centuries-old tradition. The wine is then aged for three years in oak barrels of large capacity.
