Derthona “Costa del vento” 2020 – Vigneti Massa

Costa del Vento is one of Vigneti Massa’s Piedmontese white wines produced after the re-establishment of the Timorasso grape variety. Walter Massa’s winery brought the potential of this historic Piedmont grape variety back to light in the 1980s, extending the region’s winemaking prowess to the world of white wines. Costa del Vento is a wine that has gained interest because of its ability to best express all the characteristics of its terroir and this grape variety.
The production of Costa del Vento respects the vision developed in the winery. Namely, for Vigneti Massa, wine is made in the vineyard and in the cellar, not necessarily with brands and documents. In this way, every process takes place traditionally, with careful, specific activities where people and the environment work together in perfect harmony. Of particular importance is aging – this wine is aged in the bottle for at least 12 months.
Costa del Vento is mineral and savory. The nose releases floral notes and palate has a freshness and full body. It’s surprising for its persistent, elegant finish.
