2016 will be remembered as practically a textbook vintage. Casanova di Neri’s Brunello di Montalcino “Cerretalto” is definitely among the 10 best Italian wines, made only from grapes grown in this small vineyard. Son of the vineyard of the same name and a rigorous selection of the best grapes from our estate. It stays in the cellar for six years. Winemaking is traditional in Neri’s Casanova style, but not before a strict selection process that leads to the individual discarding of less-than-perfect grapes. Cerretalto is produced only in vintages when the quality of the grapes is extreme. Complex and powerful but also capable of maintaining its unique finesse over the years. Extremely long-lived wine of the highest quality, capable of giving unique sensations.
