Bolgheri DOC “Il Seggio” 2020 – Poggio al Tesoro

Seggio Bolgheri Rosso is a Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot that come from 4 main vineyards owned by Poggio al Tesoro. Poggio al Tesoro’s Seggio is aged for 15 months in barrels of first and second usage, allowing this Bolgheri to take on a greater softness, offering a silky, enveloping tasting. The wine is an intense, vibrant ruby red. The nose has beautiful crisp, fresh fruit, reminiscent of raspberries, blackberries and currants, followed by spicy notes and mineral nuances. The palate is beautifully balanced, characterized by an elegant feel in the mouth with a silky tannic texture, that gives a precise, clean, long finish.
