Decorazione_Tavola disegno 1

Etienne Tardy began his adventure in the world of wine by working at Camuzet in 1920. Jean Tardy succeeded him in 1966, and Domaine Mèo Camuzet allowed him to work some leased vineyards on his own. Nuits St Georges 1er Cru “Aux Boudots,” Vosne-Romanèe 1er Cru “Les Chaumes,” and the Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot.
In 1981 Jean began the search for parcels of land to purchase to enlarge the property. The Domaine then became a producer of six appellations: Chambolle Musigny (1984), Nuits St Georges (1989), Vosne-Romanèe (1989), Fixin (2006), Gevrey (2007), and Grand Cru Echèzeaux in 2002. In 1997, after completing his studies in oenology and working in Australia, son Guillaume joined his father in the family business. Since 2003, he has been at the head of the property, still with the help of his father.
The philosophy of Tardy wines is very simple. Vineyard work respecting the soil and the plant, giving priority to working in the vineyard with the input of natural compounds, without the help of chemicals. The goal is to achieve full ripeness of the clusters in order to achieve purity of fruit, finesse and elegance of Pinot noir while fully respecting the expression of each Terroir.
Just over 4 hectares, for a production of no more than 23,000 bottles. The wines, have long been sought after by the great restaurant industry (one of the great admirers is Alain Ducasse).
