Vincent Girardin was from a winemaking family in Santenay going back to the 17th century. In 1980, at the age of 19, he wanted to become independent and started with the two hectares of vineyards he inherited from his parents. Soon, the quality of his wines was recognized worldwide and allowed him to expand the business by focusing mainly on the great whites and reds of the C\u00f4te de Beaune (Meursault, Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet, Saint Aubin, Santenay, Savigny Les Beaune , Aloxe Corton, Volnay and Pommard). In 2012, Vincent Girardin handed over his business to a long-standing partner of the Maison, Mr. Ni\u00e9, president of the Compagnie des Vins d&#8217;Autrefois in Beaune.<br \/>\nVincent Girardin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru &#8220;La Maltroie&#8221; is a red wine produced by Maison Vincent Girardin, one of the oldest and most prestigious winemaking houses in Burgundy.
